Company History

Office Outlet began in 1987. Initially, we functioned as an office furniture outlet store for several manufacturers' surplus and excess inventories. We retailed their overstocked products at the most beneficial rate that would allow a fair price for the end user while maintaining the most reasonable rate of return for the manufacturer.

In the mid 1990's, we downsized our retail function. At the same time, we expanded into the systems furniture refurbishing business. Later as the refurbishing industry became more specialized and competitive, we diversified into a wholesale supplier of systems furniture. We chose to work with Herman Miller to broker to refurbishers nationwide. We were able to successfully distribute their excess product. In doing this efficiently, we increased revenue for Herman Miller and protected their dealer network.
